The educative tech exhibition in the Copenhagen Opera has become a yearly success. Creative professionals from the theatre and show production industry enjoy two days of exchanging ideas and solutions for their 2018 productions.
Light Partner had new products on display from leading brands and says that the open house format with a welcoming & free entry is great to enable a lot of curious and growing talents of younger lighting designers to visit without hesitation. Not only is it a good opportunity to educate and inspire the next generation of technicians and lds, but to receive feedback and out of the box ideas from minds that think in new ways.
Calm atmospheric haze from the Ultimate 3000 hazers was the obvious choice for us to present in the opera house. Theatre-, Opera- and TV- technicians fancy working with the discreet and light haze from the Crystal Haze Fluid. Both the hazer and fluid have grown to be very popular in Denmark last year because of the high quality and value it brings to a lighting designers canvas. Moreover, for an opera, silence is key. The separable compressor and haze units of the Ultimate 3000 allow for whisper silent operation reassuring that nothing but the powerful Opera voices are heard. New for this year’s Open House is that the entire series of Swefog’s Ultimate hazers have received updates in order to make them increasingly subtle and easy to integrate on stage.
The Copenhagen Opera, designed by architect Henning Larsen, is an architectural masterpiece and is amongst the most modern opera houses in the world. The mainstage has one of the largest orchestra pits with room for 110 musicians and 1492 seats for the audience are all individually aligned guaranteeing the best possible visibility. It is in such environments the Ultimate 3000 can be used to its full capacity and the haze appreciated.
The Swefog and Light Partner team thanks all participants and visitors for coming by the first day.
